CDN’s

A Content Delivery Network (CDN) is a globally distributed network of web servers or Points of Presence (PoP) whose purpose is to provide faster content delivery to end customers. The content is replicated and stored throughout the CDN so the user can access the data that is stored at a location that is geographically closest to the user The content replication can be proactive or passive. With proactive replication, content is replicated to servers at different places before it is requested. Many commercial CDN companies take this approach. In passive replication, content is replicated (for example, cached) to a certain server(s) after it is used. To provide latency-free & smooth traffic of content network NIXI encourages Content delivery network’s & ISP’s to Join NIXI exchange points.
